Spores from White Courtesy Telephone have started rooting at the Stanford Social Innovation Review Opinion Blog. Wrote one satisfied reader, “I applaud [editor] Perla Ni’s appalling lapse in editorial judgment.”

the ssireview has reported some very honest opinions concerning dealing with poverty in Africa by understanding African culture and also on wildlife conservation . I come from Sub-Saharan Africa and l hope philanthropists will enjoy reading the articles of Mark bowie and others and trully give to causes that dont further alienate those they are trying to help . If your giving pushes families to poverty,,,,,think twice

Thanks for your comment Wanjiru about Mark Dowie's article. Some folks here in the US told us that they thought the article may have gone too far so it's good to hear your perspective coming from Africa.

I believe that, in general, communications in our field go too far in trying not to go too far. We're sometimes polite to the point of spinelessness, referring to problems as "challenges" and finding other ways to avoid direct speech. We mutter when we should be speaking the truth clearly and with conviction.

it is always too far when the truth is published or spoken. Truth illuminates. If people are genuine then they will embrace the truth
